  11. Sorry, but all program texts and the manual is in german, but 
  12. nevertheless, you won't have any problems with understanding
  13. the game.

  15. A brief english description follows.

  18. "Die große Käsejagd" is Freeware. You use the program at your own risk.
  19. All files have to be distributed together and may not be modified in
  20. any way. The files are:

  28. The game has been programmed by me for a competition in 1991 (without
  29. success). I have found it recently on my harddisk and decided to
  30. publish it now as freeware.

  32. It has been developed under Kickstart 1.2, but has no problems
  33. when running under Kick 3.0, because it has been programmed
  34. according to the official rules (RKMs)...

  52. You absolutely need a joystick connected to port 1.

  55. The aim of the game is to control the mice so they get as much cheese 
  56. as possible and bring it home.
  57.  
  58. They climb every ladder and slide down every chute.
  59. When a mouse meets the "bad mouse", it is scared, falls down and runs
  60. away... However, there are some extra mice.
  61. When the cheese is flashing, it is mouldy and the mice don't like that
  62. either...

  64. There are some bonus items:
  65.  
  66. - numbers 50 or 500:  extra score
  67. - mouse:              additional extra mouse
  68. - scythe:             the "bad mouse" jumps to another location
  69. - yellow cheese:      a normal cheese which is taken by the mouse
  70. - crossed out cheese: the mouse looses its cheese (if it carries one)
  71. - violet cheese:      magic cheese, no mouse can be harmed for a
  72.                       certain time

  75. The game can be canceled by pressing the "Esc" key.
  76.  
  77. If you have entered a new level and quit the program, this will be
  78. saved. When you restart it, you can choose this level as the start
  79. level.
